I was born in Zimbabwe Africa 61 years ago. My life has always been an adventure. As a youngster living with the tribes in both Zimbabwe (then Southern Rhodesia) and Zambia (then Northern Rhodesia) was wonderful…like a constant Safari. My brother and I would travel by rail across the Victoria Falls to go to school in Cape Town South Africa while my younger sister got to stay home and enjoy the bush veld.  My life was full of travel around the world, I was extremely active in sports and was always a risk taker.

I came to live in the USA 25odd years ago. It is my home, I love where I live. My job as a VP Store Manager for Macy’s is one of the best things in my life.

3 Years ago I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. I was annoyed more than upset. Annoyed because I felt it would interfere with my active life, after all I swim, run, play tennis, yoga. As a former nurse I knew what was down the road. So…I got fighting mad.

I am still active, I work hard and have fun at my job and personal life. I surround myself with positive friends, my family are my sounding board, my kids are my coaches, my business peers and associates are my support and Earl is my soul, my love and best friend. I eat healthy, I get enough rest. I have the best medical support, my MD Dr. Greaves, my neurologist Dr Isa and the team at Shands Parkinson’s Research in Gainsville Florida, I take my meds on time every time and no…I don’t drink enough water.

I’m fighting hard.. with all the support I have, my duty is to pay it forward by raising money to find a cure for this very annoying, debilitating disease.

That is why I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in August to raise $20.000.00 for the Michael J Fox Foundation. See my page at www2.michaeljfox.org for more information.

That is why I am taking you along the journey with me. I look forward to you joining my everyday living..I know you will laugh a lot !!!  cropped-9131.jpg122
