Hard to believe it’s been two months since Kilimanjaro…truly life changing not only the mountain itself but the people like yourselves that I have met along the way. Your well wishes and generosity to MJF in finding a cure for Parkinson’s has been amazing, heart felt and really, really appreciated. I could not have done this without you

Boots on, back at it!'
Boots on, back at it!’

Do I continue to write about my journey as a person with progressive Parkinson’s and Team Fox member….first I thought no, Kilimanjaro was  very personal, it was very hard to talk about how that journey changed me, how intimate my respect and awe of Earl and his personal journey of stage 4 cancer has been the past two years and how he challenged the mountain and won. Then I realized that everyone has their own personal mountain to challenge, mine experiencing and challenging another progressive symptom, if I, by my unedited, honest forward journey can help, challenge, resolve, inspire a smile, bring happiness or provoke a thought then totally YES…I will continue to write. Honestly, I have to, because it helps me through my toughest nights and days, it brings my body rest.

Earl, the real true hero, always putting me first. My soul.
Earl, the real true hero, always putting me first. My soul.

I write because I owe two very good friends a world of thanks…they both reach out to me unknowingly when I need it most.

First to PO….you always seem to know and put things in my path to keep me moving, moving forward thus never allowing me to dwell on the progression of this disease.

Then Roger Long. Your words of encouragement before and after the mountain stay in my mind daily. You were the fighter before me, you challenged the mountain and won. Your book Push the Rock is awe-inspiring. This is a MUST to read. It will fill you with not only the greatest respect for this man but it will inspire you to go and push your rock.

So, its up to you….continue to read my journey or not…..

Whats up next you ask?

Retire Foxyladyversuskilimanjaro and give my blog a much needed new, rockin name and look.  I need help with this…anyone willing to give me ideas for a name and help format?????

First and most important continue being part of Team Fox and raising money and awareness in finding a cure for Parkinson’s.  Today PO put in my path an opportunity and it already has legs. I will give you more information as it comes together.  It’s very exciting and will help people with Parkinson’s “fight” putting the progression into submission !!!!!

I call them "the original two" Lahna and Breana, the oldest granddaughters. I want to be the best for them, they ground me, they bring out The fantasy of life...they are pure joy.

I have decided to challenge the 7 Continents’ Highest Peaks in 7 years at which time I will be 70. They are Kilimanjaro 19.347ft. Mt. Eibrus (Russia) 18,510ft, Aconcaqua (Argentine) 22,842ft, Denali (formerly Mt. McKinley) 20,322

, Mt Vinson (Antarctica) 16,067ft,  Carstensz (new Guinea) 16,024ft, Everest (Nepal) 29,029ft…this I will go to summit camp.

I have a half marathon coming up in December and am looking to sign up for a full marathon in the next 6 months.

Already booked to climb Mt.Helens Washington in May 2016. It’s 8,366 and good training.

You see…..if I decide to stop moving then I allow Parkinson to do the moving and  I will never allow that to happen.

Today my boots became active again and my pink boxing gloves came out of retirement.

Boots became active today.
Boots became active today.
