Climbing shoes, below zero sleeping bags, Altitude sickness meds…….check.
Vaccinations……..check.
Practice packing 17days worth of clothing into a backpack…… Hahaha!!!!! That’s all we can take with us plus very little weight required because we carry our own backpacks.
Earl and I leave next week by Amtrak to see my dad in Portland Oregon. While there we are meeting with our Kilimanjaro expedition guide..Donovan. Poor guy, I have a long list of questions, one being ” should I bring and wear makeup”…. Just kidding!!!!! Honestly, the one thing I’m looking forward to is not wearing makeup for 17 days so please excuse the pictures I will be blogging from Kili.
A big shout-out for Marjorie Brown BS, RN. Orlando Health Services for Travelers. Yes, I hate shots… This lady is awesome!!! She also took her time to research any complications I may have due to Parkinsons, she asked lots of questions and truly was interested in our adventure. Thank you Ms.Brown.
